Hi!
Opsview 2.12 is released!
This is the latest release of Opsview, our open source monitoring
system based on Nagios. The main features are:
NMIS
We've included the open source project NMIS within Opsview to gather
extra statistical information about networking devices. This feature
was sponsored by a customer, to consolidate their separate Nagios and
NMIS installation with a distributed, centralised Opsview system.
Event handlers, Single Sign On and Custom SMS notification methods
Event handlers allows custom scripts to be called when a state change
occurs. Single Sign On uses Apache::AuthTkt to allow other
applications to accept the login credentials from Opsview. Custom SMS
notification methods allows you to define your own notification
methods to override the built-in SMS ones. All three features were
developed in conjunction with CAPSiDE (
http://capside.com).
Other supported OS distributions
Sponsored by a customer, we now support Solaris 10 as a platform for
running Opsview server. We've also created packages for RHEL5/CentOS5,
but have not gone through a complete testing cycle on this. Let us
know if you'd like to help with this.
Opsview Reports
Based on ODW, the long term datawarehouse that shipped in 2.10, we now
generate monthly availability statistics in a PDF report. Expect more
reports to be created in this fashion as we move forward - anyone who
wants new reports is welcome to contact us to develop new reports to
include in future versions.
If you are upgrading, make sure you read the notes on:

Debian and Ubuntu packages are available immediately from
http://apt.opsview.org
Redhat and CentOS packages are available from
http://downloads.opsview.org
Solaris packages will be available in the next few days
Enjoy!
